Academic Profiles

Steps

  1. Go to https://orcid.org.

  2. Click “Sign In/Register” in the top right.

  3. Choose “Register now" below the Sign In to ORCID prompt.

  4. Enter your name and @ltu.edu email address. Click on Next Step.

  5. Select and confirm a password. Click on Next Step.
    NOTE: Your password must have 8 or more characters, at least one letter or symbol and at least one number.

  6. Confirm your affiliation as Lawrence Technological University. Fill in your department and role if desired. Click on Next Step.

  7. Set your default visibility to “Everyone” so it integrates with other platforms. Click on Next Step.

  8. Agree to the usage terms, complete the reCAPTCHA verification and click on Complete Registration.

  9. Your ORCID iD will be a 16-digit number – copy and save it.

  10. Check your @ltu.edu email box for an email titled: Welcome to ORCID - verify your email address.

  11. Open that email and click on Verify your email address to complete your ORCID registration.

  12. Once verified, you can Update Profile and start adding the details of your academic career.
