Proctoring: Student Process

Process

Starting the process:

  • You are responsible for communicating with your instructors so that they can start your exam reservation.
  • Once your instructor submits a request on your behalf, you will receive an email to schedule your exam. 
  • Please do not show up to take an exam without an appointment. We may not have staff or space to accommodate you. 

 

When you arrive:

  • Please bring your LTU student ID and any approved and required materials (pencil, calculator, etc.) to the appointment.
  • Please tell the proctoring staff if you have accommodations. Please do not take your exam if you do not have what you need for your accommodations. 
  • You will need to sign a Testing Service Form in person before each exam.
  • If testing materials are not received at least 1 hour before the tentative appointment, your appointment will be cancelled. Please follow up with your instructor. 
  • Your appointment may be cancelled if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. 
  • Only one reschedule will be allowed for tests/exams. 

 

Exam proctoring:

  • Proctoring staff monitor exams via a camera system and frequent walk throughs.
  • If any questionable behaviors, or behaviors that do not follow the Academic Honor Code or Student Code of Conduct, are visible, proctoring staff will note the time and the instructor will be informed of the situation.
  • Camera footage will be forwarded if necessary.
  • Any further action remains at the discretion of the instructor.

 

Accommodations:

  • Please contact the Student Access and Accommodations Office if you have any questions about your accommodations, or have any issues with them being available in your classes.
  • We are required to provide you with your approved accommodations when you use Proctoring Services.
  • When you arrive for an exam, please remind proctoring staff that you have approved accommodations.
