At the top of the library's webpage, the Catalog Search Bar is available to search at any time. It is the white field at the top which says Search the LTU Library and Beyond.
Type in search terms and press enter to search the WorldCat catalog. WorldCat searches the libraries of tens of thousands of member libraries, including the Lawrence Tech Library.
(If you want to learn more about WorldCat, you can read about it on their website here. Our local version of WorldCat is called TechCat.)
Effective ways to manage your search results include these options (on the left side):
Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) are a standardized set of terms that help library users find materials on specific topics more easily and accurately. By organizing books and resources under consistent subject labels, LCSH makes searching for information on a particular subject more straightforward, even across different libraries.
The list of LCSH on this page is a great place to begin your literature review. Review the terms in the "Library of Congress Subject Headings" box, find the one closest to your topic (be sure to hover-over the information circle besides each term to see related terms) and click on it. From there, feel free to limit your results down by date, material type or even with another term using the Advanced Search box at the top of the results.
