Library Access

From off-campus, most of the services are available to faculty, staff, and currently registered students.

1. In U.S. and Canada only, log out of the Global Protect VPN.
2. Outside of the U.S. and Canada, please make sure that Global Protect is on.
3. Go to my.ltu.edu.
4. Enter your Canvas credentials in the username and password fields.
5. Click on the icon for the library.
6. Log into your TechCat account. (Set a password if its your first time.)
7. If you experience any access issues, click here to troubleshoot.
   Note: if you change browsers you may have to log into Canvas again.

Things you can do immediately online:

1. Use TechCat to search for needed resources
2. Read/download eBooks and online articles.
3. Use online reference: How-To Guides, Subject Guides and Course Guides.
4. Chat with a Librarian for assistance and/or reference.
5. Use RefWorks to build a citations list/bibliography.

Things you can do from your TechCat account:

1. Place a hold on a book in the library.
2. Request an Interlibrary Loan.
3. Renew materials.
4. Create and sort lists of materials.
