Mission Statement
The library's mission is to play an active role in the instruction of library users including students, faculty, administrators, staff, and alumni in the effective use of information resources. The library is an integral part of the educational process, a classroom in a special setting. The faculty and the professional librarians are full partners in the educational process: the librarians perform both an educational and instructional function. In the modern technological environment, it is imperative that students be taught how to locate and evaluate appropriate intellectual resources for study, research projects, problem‑solving, and professional advancement both in the LTU library and from alternate sources.
