We appreciate all contributions to the Lawrence Tech Library. Your donation can help with the continued scholarship of the Lawrence Technological University community, as well as access for local residents and remote library users through Michigan eLibrary (MeL) and Interlibrary Loan.
We do accept books, compact discs, digital video discs and Blu-Ray discs. All donations must be complete, fully accessible and non-hazardous to handle.
All donated items become unconditional property of the Lawrence Tech Library. We will evaluate the donation and add relevant items to our physical collection. We will attempt to remonetize any non-useable item, with the proceeds going to purchase relevant items for the library. We sell all of our items through Better World Books. Any item that we are unable to use or remonetize will be disposed of through giveaways and other means.
By request, we can provide a receipt for proof of your donation but we can not appraise items for tax purposes.
Donations from faculty | Email the LTU Library and we can arrange for a student worker to pick up your donation anywhere on campus. (Please make sure to give us at least 24 hour advanced notice.) |
Donations from others | Feel free to call us to discuss your donation ahead of time. There is a loading dock that the library shares with campus dining where we can meet you. A student worker will be able to take the donation from your vehicle. |
